Welcome and thank you for your interest in my work.
The work on this site formed part of my research for a PhD thesis at Hull University between 1984-87 which was never submitted.
I found the old disks which had been lying around since 1989 when I last typed any words in real anger! Having found a company to convert the old Dos files into word documents I thought that instead of allowing all the research to get lost I wanted to try and share the information with anybody who is interested in the subject whether it is from an academic or just personal interest.
Some chapters have unfortunately been lost, as have the footnotes from the first chapter. Likewise the footnotes for chapters 2-5 are incomplete. I will be working on these as much as time allows.
